All Faces, All Weekend
Holy crap! It’s a national “All Faces, All Weekend” Friday! These hit my Dashboard within the last hour:
- The original “All Faces, All Weekend” declaration
- Thoughts on the unhelpful ambiguity of “Ooh La La”
- Rod Stewart’s “Maggie May” (stretching it a little but the whole band played on Every Picture Tells A Story and Ron Wood did most of the guitar work)
and I received this response to my earlier thoughts on “Stay With Me”: “When do we start our Faces cover band?”
Now, this might be a chicken-or-the-egg situation but let’s make the most of it. Tonight I’ll be out looking for parties above my station. How are you celebrating All Faces Weekend?
Yesssssssssss. Ben (of recent Urlesque fame) got on board and took this thing interstatial. So…
Everyone across the upper Midwest, join us for the first ever unofficial All Faces weekend. If you’re new to The Faces, start here and you’ll go “oooooooh, yeah, The Faces!” Then hit up AmazonMP3, iTunes, or the torrents and get your boogie on straight through to Monday morning!
I’m on my 5th listen through “Ooh La La” today, and I’m due for a few more before I move on to some live bootlegs I’ve managed to track down. I’ll be posting photo documentation of my All Faces weekend along the way! Hope to see a few of you celebrating, too!
